Why I'm Studying Japanese

I used to love Japanese culture before I knew what it was -- I loved watching children's anime shows when I was little.  Then I listened to a Jpop song on the internet one day and wondered what it was.  I didn't even know it was in Japanese for a long time (The song was "Grip!" by Every Little Thing).  I started reading manga in middle school, and soon started to watch anime.  Even though I don't anymore, I still love Jpop and learning Japanese has always been a dream I've had.  I used to want to know Japanese so I could read manga!
